Education & Training

Each Unetixs system comes with installation and in-service training by a factory-trained representative. The company supplements instruction on all its peripheral vascular diagnostic systems with additional professional education, publications and recommendation of other professional education and certification programs.

Onsite Education

The company offers education programs with CME credits at its Unetixs’ North Kingstown, Rhode Island facility and customer sites in cooperation with Marsha Neumyer, B.S., R.V.T., CEO and international director of Vascular Diagnostic Educational Services. Neumyer is a former assistant professor of surgery at the Penn State University College of Medicine and director of the Vascular Laboratory section of the Penn State Vascular Institute.

In the Unetixs classroom, VDES Registered Vascular Technologists with excellent teaching and technical skills provide dedicated hands-on and didactic courses on indirect physiological assessment for extremity arterial and venous studies, and duplex scanning and color-flow imaging of the cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial, venous and abdominal vascular systems – all on Unetixs equipment. In addition, VDES offers physician interpretation tutorials, registry review preparation, evaluation for vascular lab accreditation and laboratory management consultation.
